Sachin Tendulkar retired hurt in the game against the Chennai Super Kings for 38. Tendulkar looked ill for most part of the latter half of his innings and in the end, retired hurt at the Strategic Time Out.
Tendulkar seemed to be suffering from the ill-effects of the weather as he looked dehydrated. Tendulkar also consumed a banana and an energy drink immediately after the sixth over, but it never looked like he had recovered from the dehydration.
During the Time Out, Tendulkar had an ice pack on his neck and back, and in the end, decided to retire hurt.
Tendulkar was replaced by Ambati Rayadu, who was dismissed in the tenth over itself.
